SHE IS BACK AGAIN!

We have named her Philomena the pleasant pheasant
where once she was a morning visitor is now an almost
constant guest who squawks as soon as Mrs H sets a
foot outside.

The ever hungry bird

  1. Jolly good photos Heron. We have many pheasants here and two cocks and around a dozen hens roost in the pine trees next to our farm and feed on corn we put down under our bird table for them. But they are not as tame as your Philomena - they move under the bushes when I go out with my camera- they are definitely camera shy.

    1. I think perhaps it is the difference between English and Irish pheasants :)

    1. Well that's great and you will no doubt be pleased to know that Philomena brought her sister Phyllis in for lunch on Wednesday.

  3. She's beautiful, does she have a mate? Unusual to see a female pheasant on her own xxx
