Lughnasadh 2013

Toby informed you all that I was a bit busy or at least he should have done ???

We had been asked by a film company if we would mind them making a documentary showing my druid grove celebrating Lughnasadh at a local site.

So am pleased to tell you that all went off terribly well and that I will post up a link when the film goes public.

In the meantime here are a few behind the scenes photo's of us having fun.

The Well Dressing

Druids relax while camera man sets up

Mrs H had just bonked me on the head with the wand because I had been a bit flirtatious with a red head!

Some of the group taking a well deserved rest in between shoots and that is not a pencil dangling from Mrs H's lips !

  1. A special occasion specially recorded! Lovely, Mel! The photos show that it was fun as well, but what is that thing hanging from Mrs H's mouth if it isn't a pencil?

  2. Great photos, specially like the well & the dressing. The red head looks to be calling in all & sundry...to much for the 'aul head then Mel :)

  8. Looks like great fun and all on film. Will look forward to seeing that. Is that Jenny I see in the picture. She was also filmed the last time I was in her company at Tara.

    1. It was great fun, Margaret. I was interviewed earlier in the day about mythology and sacred sites.

I never heard back from that French film crew who were filming at Tara - they had promised to send on a copy of the DVD!

    1. Me to Suzie, for it will be interesting to see exactly how much of all of the shots they include; because only about a tenth is actually used.

  11. It was an enjoyable day and it was great to see everyone again and meet new friends too! :) The Lughnasadh altar looked so beautiful, as did the dressed Lugna's well, and I think the ritual will be visually stunning and something different for the general audience it will be broadcast to.
