GETTING WARMER!

I left the thermometer outside in the shade for a few minutes at 12.15 and took this photo.

So I estimate that it's just over 32 deg C or 90 deg F on whatever scale you rate it at.

It is VERY HOT outside and I have two friends who at the weekend will be going to sunny

Spain - for cooler weather perhaps !

  1. It's hotter there than here on the beach in North Carolina. Normally this time of year we approach the high 90's with 100% humidity. I'm certainly not complaining!

    1. I think perhaps you might fly over and get some caresses from the Irish sun ???

    2. The ol' Welsh Sun isn't doing too bad either, though it's starting to haze up a bit now.

    3. Glad to read that Wales is not missing out on the sunshine Jonny, it would be terrible if our Celtic neighbour across the Irish had no sun in it's valleys.

  2. Today, here in the Yorkshie Dales, we are having a cloudy cooler day as forecast. It is destined to be back to scorching heat tomorrow but today's cool is a marvellous respite.

    1. If only it was cool at night, it isn't.

At least my neighbour has bailed his hay today which is a bonus for him.

  3. Going to Spain in the hope of warmer weather shows: too much planning ahead just doesn't work :-) . And: the grass is always greener on the other side of the fence. (In Germany we say instead: "cherries from neighbour's garden" - which reminds me: a whole bowl of them is waiting in the kitchen...)

  4. Today is cooler than yesterday here which I am not complaining about. A nice gentle breeze is blowing again making it just right for me. I hope you are not going to gloat if your friends have cooler weather! Xxx

Actually there is now ( 5pm) a gentle breeze flowing in from the east, perhaps it is coming in from Jonny in Wales do you think ?
