DEATH of A GENIUS

Steve Jobs 1955 - 2011

After struggling for years with pc’s I bought an Apple-Mac. What I did not know at that time that I was

buying into a family - that my chief relative was Steve Jobs, a man whose gentle humour and spirituality

steered my life and many millions of others by his creative drive, not just in design but also in selecting the

right quality of engineers to bring his dreams into fruition.

Steve Jobs you will not be forgotten.

  1. Thank you for this lovely tribute, Mel. I agree with every word. I too have used Macs for many years now, and this was after endless frustrations with PC's. Since then I have admired the charisma, passion and single minded determination to design and create the best that Steve Jobs demonstrated. You are right. He will be missed

  6. From an old Mac Classic rescued from a skip to my sleek MacBook I have always used a Mac and thanks to his talent and vision Steve Jobs has made a huge difference to my life in many ways.

In fact if it wasn't for my iMac Mr Heron and I wouldn't be together now!
    Steve will be greatly missed.

  10. Just look at the vitality, fun and even mischief in that face. The photo you have used is very very 'Steve', Mel.

  11. Hi Mel,
My husband, who designs software for a living, moved to Macs almost 10 years ago and took me along for the ride. We've never looked back, and as I sit here on my iPad, writing this, I can truly say he changed the way I create with the written word. I am just north of Silicon valley for a holiday, in the heart of Apple country, and I can tell you people here were gutted by the loss.
