All blessings on you my lady
Great praise Irish Rose
For your blood red blooms
Unfolded birthed divine
A New Sun for days to lengthen

Love to dance in Light!

Thank you for your NewYear wishes.
We do not do christmas; for us it is the Winter Solstice and the New Year that we earnestly celebrate.

    1. Thank you very much for your appreciation Anne-Marie. The photo was taken this afternoon and the words were written shortly afterwards. I have always been very keen on appreciating astronomical events and especially the movements of the Sun with its effect on the Earth and nature.

  8. Hi Mel - lovely poem and photo ... the jasmine has a few buds here - the hummingbirds have been loving it - but now frozen ... the 9" of snow is taking its toll ... I'm so pleased to 'see' longer days ... have a very happy seasonal time - cheers Hilary

I enjoy the prospect of early sunny mornings and all the joys that nature provides. The sight of the Rose blooming at ten feet high above the ground and so late in the year was such a surprise, that it stirred my imagination...
